Robotics & Engineering

Coding for Kids.jpg

St. Mary-St. Michael School is proud to be one of only 12 schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford chosen for a pilot program in robotics and engineering. STEM is growing increasingly important in education as the US job market moves more toward fields in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

STEM-literate graduates are not only needed in those fields, but also in areas like advanced manufacturing, mining and utilities and transportation. For those in non-STEM careers, instruction in STEM still gives them the skills they need for college and career readiness. It helps develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills useful beyond traditional STEM professions.
